I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Kansas City, Missouri & I’ve had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember! Growing up, my dad always had a video camera or camera going and as soon as I could talk I was constantly saying “Camera! Camera! I see!” I always wanted to be standing where he was - behind the camera! I eventually went from that, to photographing my sisters whenever I could, to getting my first DSLR camera in high school when I started doing photography as a side-hustle. I got the amazing chance to photograph my first wedding as a senior & have been doing it ever since. It’s never lost on me how special it is to be the one to see people through many of life’s major milestones, knowing that the images we create will be cherished for generations to come!

I love enjoying my daily coffee (usually a hot latte!), spending slow mornings on my front porch with my Kindle in hand, singing on the worship team at church, and scrapbooking memories from life’s sweetest seasons. I’m someone who deeply values connection, intentional moments, and finding joy in the simple little parts of everyday life.

But most of all I love spending time with my husband, our daughter & our dog! As a family we love to go on walks, visit coffee shops (seriously, I think my 8 month old has visited more coffee shops than some adults I know), or peruse antique shops. My family means everything to me and becoming a mom has really reminded me of how important it is to capture every fleeting milestone!

As your photographer, it matters so much to me that you find the entire process of working together simple & enjoyable. I don’t just want you to walk away from our time together saying, “Wow that session was so fun and we love the images!” I also want you to feel like there was excellent communication, answers to all your questions, attention to detail, direction when needed & more. While taking & delivering photos is a huge part of my job I want to come alongside you and offer support in so many more ways than just that!

While each photographer brings their own personality and approach to connection, every member of the team photographs with the same intentional, timeless style and client-focused experience Carlie Nicole Photography is known for.
When booking with the team, you’ll be paired with the same associate photographer for both your engagement session and wedding day. We love this approach because it allows you to build comfort, connection, and familiarity before your wedding day arrives—helping everything feel more natural and relaxed in front of the camera.
Your photographer will be thoughtfully selected based on availability, personality, and the overall vision for your day. Throughout the entire process, Carlie will still personally oversee communication, timeline planning, gallery editing, and the overall client experience to ensure everything feels cohesive and fully aligned with the heart behind the brand.

A. Yes! Every associate photographer photographs in a style that aligns closely with the Carlie Nicole Photography experience and aesthetic. All galleries are also personally edited by Carlie to ensure your final images feel cohesive, timeless, and true to the brand.
